SQUATRAT weightlifting belt: sizing and closure explained
To choose your weightlifting belt size, measure around the position where you intend to wear it. Your trouser size and the belt's length are different measurements. This guide explains the existing SQUATRAT size chart and the construction of our nylon belt with an aluminium buckle and hook-and-loop closure.

Keep these three measurements separate
Waist range: In this chart, this means your body circumference at the belt's wearing position. Measure there and compare your result with the listed range.
Belt length: This is the product measurement for that size. It is not your body circumference. For example, size M lists a belt length of 91 cm and a waist range of 85–99 cm.
Width and thickness: The current SQUATRAT nylon belt is 10 cm wide and 8 mm thick. Those measurements describe its construction. They do not replace size selection based on your circumference.
How to use the size chart
- Measure around your midsection at the height where you intend to wear the belt. Do not substitute your trouser-waist size.
- Compare that measurement with the “Waist range” column. “Belt length” describes the product itself.
- Check whether your result falls within one range or two. Several sizes overlap.

The existing chart states a tolerance of 1–2 cm. These figures are not a millimetre-exact fit guarantee. You can also find the full chart in the SQUATRAT size guide.
Reading overlapping sizes: two examples
At 92 cm, your measurement falls within the M range. At 87 cm, it falls within both S and M. Our existing size guide recommends the smaller size when you are within overlapping ranges and prefer a closer fit.
That recommendation applies within the listed ranges. It is not a reason to force a measurement outside the chart into a smaller size. If your circumference is below 63 cm or above 124 cm, this chart does not list a matching size. Check the options with our contact team.
If you are at the edge of a range, review your measurement and the chart again. A trouser label such as M or L is not a substitute for that check.
Nylon, an aluminium buckle and hook-and-loop fastening
The belt combines nylon material with an aluminium buckle and a hook-and-loop closure. “Nylon” describes the belt material, not the complete composition of every component. The buckle, stitching and fastening are parts of the assembled product too.
The product photographs show the wide belt section, buckle and fastening flap. These details help you see the construction before buying.
This guide covers the current nylon model, SR-CB-001. Images or instructions for a leather lever belt describe a different construction and do not belong to this sizing and closure guide.
Common sizing questions
Is belt length the same as my waist measurement? No. The chart has separate columns. Start with the circumference range at your intended wearing position.
Does this chart apply to other SQUATRAT belts? This guide is for SR-CB-001, the nylon belt with an aluminium buckle. Do not transfer it to another belt type.
What if two sizes include my measurement? Check the overlap. The existing guide recommends the smaller of the two matching sizes when you prefer a closer fit.
Does the buckle establish a lifting capacity? Material and closure type alone do not establish a tested load limit. This guide therefore gives no maximum-load or training-performance guarantee.
